We hope to improve the future.
Making the people, community and country better than the way it is. We give hope by improving the future.
Our mission is to improve the inhabitants, community and organizations.
Aims and Objectives
1. We aim to provide the needed life line to help people improve their lives in Cameroon especially in rural communities. We identify their problems and seek possible ways to address them.
2. We aim to support people who are marginalized in the communities, be it due to physically handicapped, the elderly, people with mental illness, people with albinism and needy children.
3. We aim to create awareness and educate the community on issues affecting the well-being of their communities which includes communal hygiene, HIV/AIDS pandemic, recycling and climate change.
Zixtech volunteer / intern is unlike other volunteering organisations. We are run by a team of committed volunteers with the dual aims of enabling people to make a difference to the lives of rural Africans and to raise funds for our partner organizations and also add to the lacking human resource of most grassroot organizations.
Zixtech Volunteer does not spend any money on paid advertising and our operating costs are minimal meaning that the money you pay to participate is spent in Africa enabling community development.
Volunteers participate in our programmes from all over the world including Denmark, Brazil, Mexico, Ireland, Canada, US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Majority of volunteers and interns are from America and Europe.
Volunteers come from all walks of life and ages. Applications are welcome throughout the world.
ABOUT ZIXTECH VOLUNTEER
Zixtech Volunteer annually organises a number of projects in Cameroon that welcome international volunteers from all over the world.
Volunteers can choose to spend short-term or long-term stays in Cameroon working on important local projects. The Cameroonians benefit from the vast range of contributions made and likewise the volunteers gain invaluable understandings of a different culture and lifestyle.
Moreover, working and living together with other young people from around the world provides an excellent opportunity for new friendships to be forged, insights about a fascinating country to be learnt, and skills and experience to be gained.
We constantly need volunteers to help out with all aspects of our work. The success of our undertakings depends on the enthusiasm and commitment of our volunteers.
Your time, energy and talent can make a difference in areas where help is really needed. To apply to become a volunteer or intern contact us.
As with most volunteering organisations, participants are required to pay a programme fee in order to cover the cost of their placement. It is normally necessary to cover your direct costs as most international charitable projects cannot afford to pay the costs of hosting an international volunteer, such as international travel costs, visas, food, accommodation etc.
Prices vary from organisation to organisation, however we keep our programme fee as low as possible. You can find out about what is included in the programme fee on 'Our Programmes'.
